Ryan is a Financial Planner and founder of LandMark Financial Planning & Advisory. He is passionate about becoming a client's trusted advocate when it comes to their financial decisions. He helps them define their goals, identify missed opportunities, and eliminate coordination gaps in their financial planning. But most importantly, he helps them through the needed implementation process of their financial plan. He truly enjoys what he does because he is able to help individuals and business owners navigate through some of life’s most important financial situations.
Growing up, Ryan never considered financial planning as a career choice after studying Mechanical Engineering. With a job out of college in banking, he quickly found out that what he really loved was understanding clients and their concerns. Evolving his career towards long-term financial planning became a natural fit.
Ryan is a BBA graduate of Northwood University with summa cum laude honors in Business Management, has a certificate in Mechanical Engineering from Ryerson University and has earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® as well as the Certified Trust and Financial AdvisorTM designations. In addition, he holds the Series 7, 63, 65, and 6 investment registrations as well as insurance licenses for Life, Accident, Health and Annuities. Ryan is also active in the Metro Detroit professional community serving as the current Vice President of the Society of Financial Service Professionals - Detroit Chapter.
If Ryan wasn’t providing his clients with the appropriate financial planning, or he decided to moonlight with a second career, he likes to think that he would have his own HGTV show flipping houses. He learned everything he knows from his father, a man who is both a DIY extraordinaire and Ryan’s hard- working role model. Outside of the office, Ryan is a devoted husband and father and an avid runner. He loves spending time with his wife and sons snacking and watching sports and movies. He also assures his friends and family that although he never seems to improve his score, he will never give up the game of golf (it might be this persistence that helps him focus so deeply on his clients’ plans!).
